Printer error in Edward O. Wilson volume

I just received my copy of "Edward O. Wilson -- Biophilia, The Diversity of Life, Naturalist." There are two sets of photos in the book, one following page 424 between chapters of "The Diversity of life," and the second following page 824 after the final chapter and before the Acknowledgments section of "Naturalist." However, the first set of photos actually belongs to "Naturalist," and the second set actually belongs to "Naturalist." Nothing in the volume indicates this. And it does appear to be a printer error, because the Acknowledgments section of "The Diversity of Life" refers to the photos as following page 424, but actually those photos follow page 824. Hopefully LOA will correct this error in future printings. I'm surprised, because this type of error is very uncharacteristic of LOA, all of whose volumes have been made very carefully to the highest editorial standards. By the way, I noticed this error immediately, because I own, and have read, individual copies of both of those books.

Interesting, but sad to see. Is this the same naturalist that accompanied Robert Falcon Scott to the Antarctic?

One of the low points of my spring was finding this error in the E. O. Wilson volume. An errata slip was added to LOA shipments of this volume, probably only a few days after you received a copy. The error was made by our bindery, in spite of our extraordinarily clear instructions; by the time I realized it, most of the printing had been shipped to bookstores. (Reprinting was not really an option, anyway; we had no paper, as I explained in another thread.) All in all, a major disappointment. Our apologies for the error.
