I'm back in the Grisha-verse, too. :) Just getting into Six of Crows.

I haven't gotten into the tv show yet.

>2 Niko: There are two story lines in the series that haven't occurred in the books as far as I've read them (I'm almost done with the second book). Just a little heads up in case such things matter to you.

>3 seitherin: Have you read the Six of Crows books at all? I had heard that they included characters from these books in the series... that's part of why I picked it up now, to be familiar with this cast a bit before watching it.

I'm fairly laidback about adaptations, but I tend not to read the books after I've seen a video version of the material, so I figured I should get at least started with the book if I had any intention to. :)

>5 Niko: Just started the 3rd book. I'm not fussy about whether I read a book first or watch a show first. In this case, the show inspired me to read the books.

Finished Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo. liked it next up is the 3rd book, Ruin and Rising.

Finished Six of Crows. I enjoyed it a lot. It benefits a lot from getting away from the "unexpected girl thrust into savior role" YA trope that the grisha books were so rooted in.

Taking a trip into Arthurian realms with To the Chapel Perilous. I've been wanting to read more of Naomi Mitchison's work since I loved Travel Light.

Spent the past week in Temerant, following Kvothe around as he tells his life story. It had been so long since I read The Name of the Wind that I went ahead and re-read it before delving into The Wise Man's Fear, and I'm glad I did. There is just so much detail, so it was good to have the refresher, plus it's such a wonderful story. I may even read them again someday, whenever The Doors of Stone finally gets released.

I finally got a chance to visit the library in the town I moved to over a year ago, and as is my usual wont, I immediately checked which Tanith Lee they had available, leading me to Teeth: Vampire Tales. I'm not usually a huge vampire fan, but I'm having a lot of fun with this collection.

I'm about to learn more about drawing magic at the Witch Hat Atelier. Magic written/drawn, so in theory anyone can do. (Shh! Don't tell, it's a secret.) A manga recommendation from a friend.

After a very satisfying climax in Son of a Trickster, I've stayed in Canada but moved over to Vancouver for Trickster Drift.

>24 Narilka: Enjoy the forest! That series is great. I think I found the second and third books just as enjoyable as the first one.

>32 merrystar: Ah! DWJ! Fire and Hemlock is one of the books by her that I've only read once. Maybe I should remedy that.
