Publisher New to Library Thing

Deep Read Press is a traditional publishing company. We want to follow all the rules here. What are we allowed to do in the way of promotion without offending anyone?

Because LibraryThing is not a promotional site (unlike, for instance, Goodreads), your options are fairly restricted. So don't advertise in the forums, or rate/review your own books.

The very best thing to do is to offer your books as part of the Early Reviewer program; info about that is at the link at the beginning of this post.

Thank you very much for asking. Too many authors and publishers just jump right in, and do offend people, so your query is appreciated.

And the content you’ve put in as reviews are not considered reviews; not quite promotional, but also not your personal opinion of the books.

It's not a good idea to give your own books 5 star ratings. It looks really tacky.
