Aristophanes

Can someone explain what is going on with Aristophanes? The author has been split, but no works are assigned to any of the splits. Is there actually more than one Aristophanes? Is there any reason for this author to be split?

There is a bug that prevents author pages from being unsplit once they have been split. Aristophanes has been caught in that bug. Why someone split it in the first place is unclear.

It also looks like every other transliteration of his name needs to get recombined with it. Ugh.
