The first sign of spring is usually the crocus. I have lived in this house since 1980 and never planted early spring/summer bulbs as they are gone too soon. However, these tiny critters have come up in spots for the last 31 years!

Crocuses, yes, and then the yard turns purple with deadnettle and henbit.
Wild strawberries and violets follow shortly after.

Our tulips and crocuses are not blossoming. The daffodils are. I suspect the others need more water.
Spinach is up, though, and rhubarb coming.
