70's 80's Young Adult Book Set in Swiss Boarding School

As a getting to know you type exercise someone recently asked me to name a book I checked out of the library multiple times as a kid. I couldn't remember the name at all. I would have been checking the book out in the 80's. I can't remember any of the character names or really anything that happened in the book so I know this is not much to go on but it's been driving me crazy ever since I was asked the question. I grew up in a rural area with a very small library. The book was hardback but didn't have a jacket so I can't even describe the cover. It was just brown. I think maybe because I grew up in very hot South TX and didn't see snow until I was in my 30's I was more intrigued with the setting of the book than the actual story.

And Both Were Young by Madeleine L'Engle was reissued in the 1980s. The Chalet School books are older but would probably have been available in libraries at that time.

Maybe Passport to Romance by Betty Cavanna ? Girl goes to Swiss boarding school. Believe set mid to late '60's. Small town libraries always seem to have Betty Cavanna books. I enjoyed them.
