Not sure why this site is called, LibraryThing - seems like it should be BookThing. I came here thinking it might related to libraries - I have an idea I wanted to introduce, but seems maybe out of place: Library Community Network - The LCN begins with a comprehensive directory listing of nonprofit organizations, and proceeds by taking actions that encourage collaboration and community involvement (A functioning demonstration directory can be viewed here: https://peekskilllcn.net). It's called LibraryThing because it's a place for people to catalogue their libraries.

That is home libraries, not public libraries. At least that's how it started.
