Found: Adult urban fantasy, Las Vegas, dragons

I don't remember the author or any time it could have been published. What I remember of the plot is that two sisters are hiding in Las Vegas as weather witches, but they are actually dragons. They ran away from their family and killed some of their family. The main character is friends with a dragon slayer who does not know that his friend is a dragon. The main character keeps an axe in a storage container. It feeds on blood and she has to satiate it. Their family tracks them down and they fight back. She leaves at the end of the book.

I honestly wouldn't recommend finding this book again because the sequel has been teased for over 6 years with no updates on a release date,it was a good book, but cliffhangers are terrible if they never have a conclusion.

This is the book. Thank you so much. I'm kind of disappointed that the sequel is not out. I was definitely interested in a sequel.

I know, I really wanted a sequel, which is why I remembered this book so well, but unless something happens to push the author into writing, no sequel for the readers.
