YA fantasy series — help, please!

Read & loved a series (thinking trilogy but unsure) ~2010-2012. Fantasy YA that centered around boy & girl. All I can remember is that it involved pyramids, some sort of chocolate factory (?), some magic, and a hotel with a cult (?). Also am remembering a connection to Greek/Latin words (“soli”? “solus”?). Thanks in advance for any help!
