Thread continuation link not working (again)

Clicking on “continue this thread in another topic” results in an error: "Problem with concurrent query manager ... "

There was a similar bug a few weeks ago and I first reported this on that thread but since that bug is considered closed it was suggested I create a new thread for this one.

This doesn't really sound like the same bug as that, but like a new bug (probably related to overall site slowness or load) with the same end result. If it is load-related it may be transient; if you try again do you get the same thing?

On top of lorax's question which would be good to know the answer to (is it still happening for you?), what thread are you trying to continue? Thanks!

I agree the root cause might be different than before. However, it is not transient. The problem is still happening as I write. Here's the thread I'm trying to continue:

Last night I tried continuing two other threads: one in the same group and on an another group, with the same result.

I've tried this several times, on various threads, in the last few minutes. It still doesn't work. Error message now says the error has been logged and Tim has been alerted.

>5 laytonwoman3rd: The error message has been the same for me too Linda, I just didn't report the full message.

FYI, the error message also points you to a link that should fix the problem "in most cases," but all it does is display my catalog and when I try continuation again, I get the error message.

The error message also states that an email should be sent to Tim if the error persists. I did so this morning.

It would be nice to hear from LT staff about this issue, since we are now on Day 3 of this problem with no updates. I don't know how to reach them other than PMs, so just left messages with conceptdawg and kristilabrie.

Contact info is here: http://www.librarything.com/contact They do follow this forum, though.

>10 lauralkeet: Sorry, I pinged timspalding about this this morning but forgot to post here that I'd done so. The developers have been in interviews all day so I suspect it'll be this weekend (if Tim's on) or early next week for this bug. Sorry for the wait!

>11 lilithcat: Thanks! I tried "Help" and should have looked at the "Home / About / Contact" links at the bottom of every single page. Duh.

>12 kristilabrie: Thank you Kristi, I appreciate the update.

Just now, I was able to use the the continuation link so it looks like this problem may be resolved. Thank you!!

Okay, great! I'm not sure if Tim truly fixed this or not so I'm just closing this for now, but let me know if you see any problems again.

It also just worked for me :)
