Hi Everyone,
This is my first year, and I’m not sure what I am doing yet. So bear with me if I stumble and get a little bit lost now and then.

I want to start out by recommending some wonderful debut authors I read last year. I am still writing reviews on some of these, but I couldn’t wait to tell you about them.
1. Edge of Belonging by Amanda Cox (Author) https://www.librarything.com/work/24858840/book/195880165
2. The Sowing Season by Katie Powner (Author) https://www.librarything.com/work/25555127/book/195880152
3. Dress Shop on King Street (Heirloom Secrets) by Ashley Clark (Author) https://www.librarything.com/work/25753536/book/195880128

Another 2 top reads for me last year were: 1. The Love Note by Joanna Davidson Politano (Author) https://www.librarything.com/work/25205361/book/195880177
2. The House at the End of the Moor by Michelle Griep (Author) https://www.librarything.com/work/24197446/book/195880576
One cannot go wrong reading any of these wonderful author’s works.

January reads:

1. Moonlight School by Suzanne Woods Fisher (Author). I am counting this wonderful story as a January read, even though it is not being published till February I received an ARC from the publisher. ❤️d it!
https://www.librarything.com/work/25625614/book/195879824

2. Cowboy for Keeps (Colorado Cowboys) by Jody Hedlund (Author). I really procrastinated writing my second 3 star review in a row for this wonderful author.
https://www.librarything.com/work/25332889/book/195722868

3. Dance in Donegal by Jennifer Deibel (Author) https://www.librarything.com/work/25505448/book/195880902

Welcome! There are no rules, so feel free to run your thread however you like, in the way that best works for you.

Will be interested in where your reading takes you this year. Do you read solely Christian fiction?

>2 ladyharris: Hi Alison,
It’s nice to meet you. My favorite genres are Christian Historical Fiction, Historical Fiction (as long as it is clean and wholesome), and Cozy Mysteries. Am open to reading other genres except erotic, which is the main reason I joined this group. Looking forward to see what others are reading too!

I belong to an online Christian Fiction review group called Interviews and Reviews. My goal is to feature what I am reading there with my Club reads here, plus others I read on the side that I would recommend reading.

> You'll certainly end up adding many new genres to your reading. I've found this group fantastic for expanding my reading choices.

>2 ladyharris: I'd like to hear about the Donegal book. My father was from Donegal and I have family there.

Hi. Are you interested in knowing how to make your book titles and authors into touchstones? or, in other words, links? Just put them in straight brackets--like this Dance in Donegal by Deibel. I put two brackets around the author. Glad to see you again.

>1 ladyharris: Hi there, good to see you here. I also read some Christian fiction, especially novels about Amish people.

>7 dianeham: Loved my virtual trip to Donegal. Unfortunately I didn’t connect with the two main characters. The secondary characters were wonderful. My review is finally posted.

>9 LadyoftheLodge: Reading Amish stories is how I got started in this genre. Then when I became disabled I started writing reviews. A publisher sent me a book by Elizabeth Camden to review, and from then on I was hooked on this genre.

Currently beta reading A Secondhand Betrothal by Denise Weimer. She is a wonderful author whose prose deserves much praiseworthy acknowledgment. Denise writes in many different genres. I highly recommend Spring Splash about a special needs swim team. For me this is her best thus far, but the one I am beta reading now is also very good. For those who prefer Clean Historical Romance Fiction like me I recommend The Witness Tree and her new one Bent Tree Bride coming out in April. Check her out, you definitely won’t be disappointed.

>11 ladyharris: I also write a lot of book reviews, and typically request the Christian fiction and Amish novels. I have noticed that many Amish novels nowadays are addressing some tough topics and are much more versatile than in the past. (Maybe a bit more salty than sweet.) I like the more balanced approach.
