It's not just English villages. There is something about small towns in general. I'd stay away from Crozet, VA, and Cabot Cove, ME, for instance.

I loved it.But it seems there are still a lot of people who think Midsomer is a village when its actually a county. A VERY homicidal county,with dozens of villages which have all the homicidal danger points so wittily depicted in the article and the brilliant comments.I find that even more disturbing than the thought of only one village! lol.
