Series cannot be found

I have just tried to add works to two series.
On both occasions, when I type the title into 'Add this work to a series' the message comes back 'No results'.
But I can find both series and all the other works I have already added, so they do exist.

What is going wrong?

Search is not working at the moment - so nothing cannot be found. The standard test (well one of them) is to try to find Harry Potter via site search. If it cannot find it, the search is down :)

If it can and you still cannot find the series, mentioning which series may help troubleshoot. But just now, it is just Search being down again.
