Hi, I'm brand new to this, but I'm searching for a book I read years ago; I can't remember the title or the author. It's about a young woman who travels to...somewhere in Asia (India, I think, but I could be wrong). I think she is kidnapped on the way there...? She is rescued and makes her way to her friend's house and stays there for her visit. She encounters the ruling family of the country she's in, and meets a man who is a spy. Of course, she falls in love with him. It's a clean romance, in fact, the romance doesn't feature to heavily in the book. It's historical fiction. I remember that the hero is somewhat of a jerk and could be crude at times. The heroine travels around and sees different ancient places (including some ruins with statues in various sexual positions).
I would appreciate any tips. Thanks!
