Loose thread

I've just received my last FS order - impressive speed. The Letters of Vincent van Gogh have this tiny loose thread on the spine. It's not some massive issue as it is, but obviously I'd rather fix it to avoid making it worse by mistake. What would you do to fix it safely? Try to pull it under the other threads with a thin needle and glue it?

I'd probably just cut it. Don't see how it could unravel given there's no movement of the cloth unlike clothing.

>2 adriano77: With my skills, the second I pick up scissors the whole book will fall apart. :) Thanks for the insight.

>1 santiamen: At the risk of sounding like a broken record, did you consider just putting a Mylar dust jacket on the book (e.g., https://youtu.be/WNKSklx9yAs?t=173)? It would protect the thread from being pulled and also offer long-term protection against all sorts of other stuff.
