School Library MLS/ILS

Anyone out there experienced with both L4U and Follett, especially for textbook management? We currently have L4U hosted on local servers but will be making the change to Cloud-hosted, which will at least let our public catalog be PUBLIC. We find L4U functional but mediocre and would love to have Follett. Now I'm asked to figure out barcoding for all school textbooks and wondering if this task might be so much easier snd more effective in Follett that it could justify the cost of the changeover. Any info appreciated!

I'm not familiar with L4U. I have only used Follett Library Manager. From what I've read and from others on my state listserv, though, you might want to look into Follett's Destiny Resource Manager. It is designed specifically for textbooks, 1:1 devices, and the like.

We have our Chromebooks in Destiny Library Manager, but there are many times I have wished we had Resource Manager.

You might want to check your "terms of service" and the license. Putting things besides library books in your system might be against their terms of service.
