I http://www.librarything.com/talktopic.php#want a chronological list of when I read and purchased my book. How can I do this?

Sort your catalogue by those fields. Date finished will sort by the most recent date.

If needed, go to Settings within "Your books" (your catalogue) to add the sort fields. Date acquired is often for purchase dates. If you've used that field for gifts received or library loans, you can set up then use a tag search to separate out other acquisitions

to add some details to >2 MarthaJeanne:. You sort by clicking on the header (in your books), you'll see a small arrow next to the field being sorted (by default I believe it's title) clicking again will reverse the direction.
A subsort is applied from the last header used, eg authors after you've sorted by tag.

If you can't see a field that you're interested in, you can change the style A-E which has different default fields. If none of these work for you, you can fully customise them from the settings tab (cogwheel icon next to the A-E styles)

You can also go on the header and find a button that has an up arrow and a down arrow side by side, which will allow you to set the sort and subsort, without dealing with the header or the styles.
