>19 Helenliz: - Those are great! I used to do a lot of counted cross stitch but have given it up as my eyes got worse and my mistakes more frequent. How big are the squares?

24Helenliz
Dic 9, 2020, 8:05 am

>23 dudes22: They are 90 threads across, although I'm stitching over 2 each time, so I get 44 to 45 stitches across each side. They measure almost 5 inches square. These stitches are quite large! But that makes it perfect for TV stitching.

Just a note - I'm not sure who did the links from the group's home page, but the link to the wiki is not going to the wiki. It's simply reloading the group page. I'm not sure who was updating that. Thanks!

would you be so kind as to explain the letters and the general rules, for those who are new.

42majkia
Dic 31, 2020, 5:58 am

>41 genealogy_nana: Welcome! There are two letters for every month. And x and Z are to use all year long. You can use the letters any way you like. Some folks stick with Author initials, some first letter in a title, others any word in the title that fits the letters. It is open to you to use the letters however you like!

Besides being fabulous, I'm curious - what size does it end up being? What count linen are you using? I see up above that you told me the size of the squares and the # of threads your using. So is my math right that it's about 18 count? You should publish this pattern. I think a lot of people would like it.

55rabbitprincess
Ene 28, 2021, 10:33 am

Beautiful!!

56Helenliz
Ene 28, 2021, 4:23 pm

>54 dudes22: it ends up as 28 x 44 inches (including fringing).
Each square is 5 inches, and the threads are 18 count, but I have been sewing over 2 each time, so an effective 9 count.
