I know that what an author writes can be directly affected by their beliefs, whether they admit it or not. I also know, even if they keep their politics out of their writing, some of it still filters through. And when they openly speak their politics, their career can either grow or shrink based on their stance.
That said, I know that OSC had come out on the wrong side of a political reveal.
