A new book from the Favourite Book of 2019 roundabout arrived this week, so that has top priority for October! Then, it'll be an attempt to get more books off the shelves, instead of being distracted by new books.

I still have some library books to read but I think (hope) I might be able to read 4 books from the TBR pile in October.

I finished two books from the Favourite Books of 2019 Roundabout and also got a couple off my shelves, so October was somewhat successful. How did the rest of you do?

>4 mathgirl40: Good for you. I was also successful in reading 4 books from the TBR pile. Stay by Catherine Ryan Hyde, A Private Cathedral by James Lee Burke, Indians on Vacation by Thomas King, and The Tears of the Madonna by George Herman. Only the last one was on the list before the start of this year but since it's a book that has been waiting on my bookshelf for 10 years for me to read it I am glad I finally got to it.

>5 gypsysmom: Good for you, for finishing a book that had been on your bookshelf for so many years. (If only I had the motivation to clear some of my own dust collectors off the shelves ....)
