Apologies to Varielle and other readers of the threads on this group, and in a couple of days I will edit this and my own other posts on the topic to remove the controversy, but I felt a response to one of my posts was unnecessarily unpleasant and rude in tone.

>22 Crypto-Willobie: >23 elkiedee: and >29 Crypto-Willobie: My point wasn't any expectation that everything should be added, but I would think that Ian Holm's literary contribution is as much as an actor in adaptations of famous and popular books and in plays which are often read in print but were originally written for performance Or in other words, his work as an actor is more significant/memorable to the world of books/literature than his published memoir, and I think a brief mention of both is relevant to those of us with an interest in literary obituaries.

I think it's possible to disagree without making people feel dismissed and belittled, whcih was the effect of >22 Crypto-Willobie: on me.
