Is anyone out there a fan of the Ferryhill philosophers? I am a great fan of Alun Armstrong - and wonder if they will make more episodes. Just trying to revive this group as I love Radio 4 and can't believe there are not other people out there who couldn't live without it. Although I love plays and stories - I am also a fan of The archers and comedies like Cabin Pressure. Anyone??

Cabin Pressure - hell, yes!
Archers - ugh, no!
Ferryhill Philosophers - not actually familiar with that at all, sorry...

Ah so someone is out there still enjoying radio 4. Yes I do understand some poor souls do not care for the Archers, I kind of inherited the habit from my mum, and now that I live abroad, Norway, it is a sort of comfort.

I am currently trying to listen to George Orwell`s Coming Up for Air, but have been somewhat distracted by other things, like the news, and From Our Own Correspondent. Looking forward to retiring soon and then radio 4 will be on most of the day. Anothe4 comedy I would love to hear a rerun of is Double Income No Kids Yet.

>1 bhelg33: I just found your message when I was searching for The Ferryhill Philosophers hoping that the series was available to listen somewhere. I managed to hear a few of them when available on sounds and thought them brilliant - especially as I have just completed an OU philosophy degree. Both Alun Armstrong and Deborah Findlay excel. Do you know if any current source? It is a great shame that the BBC has archived them.
