In the Publishers Series on Common Knowledge, there is a green checkmark by some books in a series and not others. What does the checkmark mean? I'm asking specifically about the Westvaco series of annual Christmas books on American history. When I check the list, a lot are checked, but not all. I have all but one of them and am wondering if the checkmark shows whether I have entered the book into my library or not or whether it indicates something else.

Yes, the green checkmark means that it is in your "Your Library". If you only have it in one of your other collections - Random House, Imprint Society etc. in your case - it will have a grey checkmark.

The works you put in 'read but unowned' will have a blue checkmark. There's a few others - violet I believe for those on your wishlist. There's a help page listing them. I'll see if I can find it

Edit: Four possible colors, depending what collection in the library you've assigned the book. Here you go https://wiki.librarything.com/index.php/Checkmarks

>3 SandraArdnas: purple for wishlist :)

>1 SteveJohnson: if you have books that you had added but do not have checkboxes on the series list, that means that they are not combined properly - your copy needs to be a added to the work. If you cannot figure out how to do that on your own, come over to the Combiners group with the list of problematic books and someone will assist.
