What do you think Bryony meant by, ‘watching me...scared...bell’?

I thought that she was referring to Dr. Bell watching her...but she could have been saying that someone had watched her in her room and that she was scared,

It seemed to be pointing towards Dr. Bell, but who knows...?

I think that Bell has been obviously suspicious from the beginning but that automatically makes me unsure. Bryony is definitely scared.

Bell seemed suspicious to me at the beginning but with Bryony writing this, it seems like a misdirection. Maybe she's talking about a belltower or another location where she was prior to the suicide attempt

Agree with everyone. Seemed to obviously mean Dr. Bell. But maybe she’s referring to Harold Bell who Lacey found in the Cambridge directory, quite a few chapters back. He was listed as retired and there’s been no mention of him since.

Seemed to be pointing the finger at Dr Bell but all seems too convenient. I do feel we are being misdirected!
