A continuation...why not?
This week I finally completed my collection of books by Anne Bosworth Greene with Punch: the Cruising Dog. This one has been tough to find affordable. For example, Ebay has one for sale at $75 right now...nope, sorry.
I found a copy sans dh, good condition, less than $20. When it arrived I discovered it had an inscription and signature by the author, woo!
(my copy is actually a bit more yellow than this image)
What TBSL have you snagged recently...or at least in the last year?

I received a lovely lovely gift in the mail from an LT friend. It's a 1910 prayer book, Prayers of the Social Awakening. It is beautiful, not obvious from the cover here. Each page has a decorative border. And the prayers address specific matters, such as alcoholism; a type of prayer I rely on all the time.

>2 2wonderY: what a lovely gift, indeed.
If you feel so inclined, share a picture of one of the pages. :)

I found a complete set of the Mrs Tim books by D. E. Stevenson at the weekend. I've started the first one and it's excellent.

>8 2wonderY:, >9 fuzzi: I was happy when I found one of the books in the shop. Then when I discovered the other three in a different section you can imagine my joy! They read like a combination of the Provincial Lady and Henrietta's war - just delightful.

I've been donating books to the local library as I weed my collection. They know me well enough that I'm allowed to come and go into their back storage room without a blink. Last week, though, there was a short shelf of tattered books just at eye level, and one ignited lust in my heart. I took it up to the circulation desk and asked if I could buy it now and not wait for their November sale. The librarian waved me off and said, "Just take it."
Eve's Daughters, published 1882. Isn't it lovely?
OOps. I forgot I shared this on another thread already. I must be pretty pleased to have this on my shelf.
