A few of us are going to read most of the Dresden Files books this year. We have already finished the first three (see Dresden Files Catch-up Thread. Since the chatter isn't too high, we'll just keep one thread for the rest of the year (this one!) and continue it if necessary.

February: Summer Knight

March: Death Masks

April: Blood Rites

May: Dead Beat

June: Proven Guilty

July: White Night

August: Small Favor

September: Turn Coat

October: Changes

November: Ghost Story

December: Cold Days

The first book that this thread will cover is The Summer Knight.

I admit to having already finished Summer Knight and loved it. I think the overall plot of the series is starting to shine through. I like the way that previous characters are incorporated into the story in unexpected ways. I hope that this will continue throughout the series. I love how Harry is a perfect mixture between kick-ass and rather bumbling. He somehow manages every task he needs to, while making mistakes throughout. It makes him more human. :)

Just started Blood Rites and I'm enjoying it so far (60 pages in).

Finished Blood Rites yesterday, and what a ride it was! I had to work to keep the various courts and council straight, but I managed! Harry learns a lot about his family and it looks like he gains a pet as well. I hope to catch up with the schedule and read Dead Beat this month also.

As I'd mentioned in the other thread, I really loved Blood Rites too. I'm going to take a break from Dresden Files reading, as I'll be working through my Hugo Voter Packet the next month or two, but I will definitely resume after that.
