Hello, thank you for having me. Are there any reference guides for sewing, crochet, knitting, or even woodworking that lists recommended books, resources, and periodicals?

If you mean catalogued on here. Probably. If you mean that you can read on here. No. This is a cataloguing site not an eLibrary where you can read books.

Hi Renee, welcome to LibraryThing! One thing you can do on here is search "tags," i.e. the words/phrases with which people have labeled their book collections. Up in the right hand corner is a "Search site" box. Instead of typing anything in there, try clicking on the magnifying glass. When you get to the search page, choose "Tags" from the left-hand column, and then put something like "knitting" in the search box. Then you'll see all the tags people have used with the word "knitting". There are 106,788 uses of the word "knitting" as of right now. There are also more specific tags, such as "knitting patterns" (3,016 uses), "knitting reference" (482 uses), etc.

Then, for instance, if you click on the tag "knitting" from that list, you'll get to a page with the books "most often tagged" with that word. You can change it from "most often tagged" to "popular recently" or "published recently."

This may not be exactly what you were hoping the site here could do, but I bet you'll find it fun! :-)
