Tell us about your December plans! Will there be a final push to achieve your goals for the year?

I don't think I'll make my goal of finishing all my pre-2018 ABC books. However, if I'm careful in December, I'll end up with fewer ABC books going into 2019 than I had going into 2018, and I will call that a success.

By the way, I will try to set up the new 2019 group this weekend or early next week.

I'd like to finish 4 books
ETA: and join the 2019 group too ))

I have 6 left to read, but realistically I will probably read 3 with the help of some long journeys.
I am happy with my progress - this group helps me keep track of my books. I have also started bookcrossing books as I get them, as this helps me curb by book-magpie-ery.
Look forward to joining next year's group.

Hi!! I just posted to my thread, but I have/will make my goal for this year.

A personal goal is in general to spend less internet time, but I would like to spend more time here. Meaning, less mindless scrolling of social media, but learning about new books and using this forum to keep track of my goals. I am reading a book now that I think will help with that (Thrive by Ariana Huffington).

I'll be thinking about next year's goal and how I want to approach it. :) And enjoying the rest of this holiday season.

>3 Amaryllys: Just wanted to give an update on the 2019 group. I tried to set it up just now but ran into some technical difficulties. I'll try again tomorrow and will contact the LT admins if I continue to have problems.

>4 soffitta1: I'm happy to hear that you're pleased with your progress and that you find this group helpful!

>5 PokPok: Sounds like a terrific goal to me. I need to do that too -- spend less time on mindless social-media sites but more time on LT and other book-related stuff. :)

I have read 46 books from my TBR shelves so far this year and so my goal for December is to read 4 more so I can say I took 50 off the shelf. (Of course, I put books on in 2018 but I have managed so far to keep to my goal of only adding 1 for every 2 I took off the shelf. I say so far because there is still Christmas coming up and I can't control if people give me books as gifts can I?)

First goal met - successfully joined the 2019 group ;-)

>7 gypsysmom: I have the same problem. I think I'm doing well with not acquiring too many books and then I get more at Christmas (not that I'm complaining or ungrateful). What's worse are the Boxing Day book sales.

>8 Amaryllys: Good work! I hope everyone else does the same. :)

Read my goal of 4 more books from the TBR list to make a total of 50 read. I received lots of books for Christmas so the list will be only slightly shorter than it was at the end of 2017 but I'm still happy because I cleared off some books that I've been meaning to read.

>10 gypsysmom: Glad you made your goal and nice to hear you got a good book haul for Christmas, even if it does add to the list.
