Started the month with The Undertaking of Lily Chen by Danica Novgorodoff which I enjoyed.

Can't believe it's November already!!!! Where does the time go??

I recently read One Week in the Library on the recommendation of a friend, but I didn't care for it all that much myself.

I am going to the Classics. I've finished Asterix the Gaul and Asterix and The Goths. Fantastic art, fun story. A Must-Read!

I'm having a belated Halloween, I guess, because I've picked up two separate books about New England witches without even thinking about it: Coffin Hill, Vol. 1 and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Vol. 1. Not sure I'm sold on continuing either series though. Also picked up Eleanor Davis's collection How to Be Happy, Nina Bunjevac's memoir Fatherland, and the nonfiction We Spoke Out about how comics addressed Holocaust history. I think I'm going to need a comedy after these.

>1 brianjungwi: I really liked that one! I've noticed recently that I'm a sucker for watercolors, and Novgorodoff did a lovely job.

I'm not to be trusted in libraries ... I always come home with more books than intended. On a related note, this week I'm reading Silver Spoon, Vol. 5, Thunder & Lightning by Lauren Redniss, and Jane by Aline Brosh McKenna.

I started Tom Gauld's new one, The Snooty Bookshop. Love his humor!

I am reading Mort Cinder by Hector G. Oesterheld and Alberto Breccia which has been reprinted recently by Fantagraphics. It is a classic Argentinian comic from the 60's with amazing B&W art and Borges-like fantastic realism.
I really can't recommend this highly enough.

I am reading Rocketeer: The complete adventures. Dave Stevens' art and storytelling are so good that they are hypnotic. Laura Martin's subtle colors are the icing on the cake.

I've just watched the live action of Attack on Titan, part 1 by Shinji Higuchi. I did not read the manga, but the concept is totally ingenious and the film is fantastic.
