I took a new position that deals with outreach coordination and I’m looking to update our tables/materials.

What kind of carts have you seen used to carry outreach materials? (Links to amazon could be great!)

What sort of things do you bring to outreach events?
We currently just bring a spread of event flyers and some mood changing pencils but this does not help us stand out in anyway. It just makes us look boring and not enticing enough to come to our table.

I know when I'm walking around places and such with tables, I'm more likely to notice something with colour and a backdrop, even it's just a Jury-rigged sheet.

To attract kids, have silly items. I used huge outsized pen and pencil as display. A nest of books with a huge egg in the middle, beginning to crack open with a claw emerging.

Interactive items - a superhero and a camera. Let them pose the figures and write a story. Post the stories on your website. We had a Captain Belpre who performed all sorts of small heroic acts around the place.
