I so far only read 5 this year from the LL, and of those only The Mars Room was shortlisted. I'm sad that In our mad and furious city didn't make it, but I'm getting used to my favs not making the cut. :/
The Powers is on my Kindle but scares me.

I've only read Warlight so far from the long-list and I was not that impressed. I don't think that Michael Ondaatje is my cup of tea. I hope to get to Washington Black.

To me the shortlist is isappointing.

However my favorite is among them and I really hope it will win this year’s ManBooker prize, that's The Long Take even though it was no 5 star read for me.

My other favorites are not shortlisted, these were Normal People and In Our Mad and Furious City.

I also liked Snap and Sabrina but understand that they weren't shortlisted.

I can live with Everything Under on the shortlist but I was really underwhelmed by The Mars Room and The Overstory, that one will probably win the Prize...

I also liked The Mars Room, which was a surprise since I didn't like The Flamethrowers at all. I'm about halfway through Washington Black. I'm not sure I"m going to get to all of them in 8 days, but we'll see...
