I found a 1952 copy of Green Mansions with a slip cover for $7. Great illustrations. I think the first time I read it was in 8th grade.

>3 varielle: Mom got me a copy of the version with the "Maxim Easy Eye" cover -- the blonde girl lying on her back holding her finger out to the red bird. Haven't read it yet, nor seen the movie yet....
Two ARCs:
* _Dragon Shadow_ by Elle Katharine White (pub date 11/18; fantasy, I believe with a tie to Austen's England -- it's book 2, so I asked my library for book 1, Heartstone)
* A Dangerous Duet by Karen Odden (pub date 11/18; historical mystery; author taught locally for a while)

Just FYI that I deleted a few messages from past months since I took 3 teen ARCs back to the bookstore for someone else to have, instead. I won't be reading as many teen/young reader titles anymore since it's no longer work-related.
