Of course, according to these guys, every day is International Cat Day.

Awww! I should have known. My cat apparently celebrated by spraying the bathroom rug once again.

Beautiful picture >1 lilithcat:

Mine got some new toys and I ordered a cat tree and a cat igloo bed. Xander still likes hiding so I thought I would give him a new safe place.

Ooh, I knew I got the resident furballs an extra treat today for a reason!

>1 lilithcat: What a lovely pair! Momo & Callie say hi.

>3 calm: What's Xander think of the new bed? Which one did you get? I'm in the market for recommendations, but also maybe coming to the conclusion that pet beds are a racket and I should just stop spending money on them (current favorite sleep spots are back of couch, and cardboard box, and whatever I'm sitting on.

>4 lorannen: More adorable cats :)

The bed I have doesn't get much use but it is just an open one. Xander spends a lot of time under my bed or in his carrier since the accident.

The new bed hasn't arrived yet. To get a 20% discount I added it to the cat tree order and I can't snag a picture from the shops website. I don't know if these will work internationally but here are some links

Love the pictures. My cat is sleeping in his travel-to-the-vet carrier. He hates travel, but loves sleeping in the open box here at home. Haha. cats.

Re. Beds for Cats.

My bed seems to be acceptable. One Cat at my head. One at my feet. One on the left, one on the right. After almost 4 years they still pretend to be surprised
when they see each other in the morning :-)

Mine allow me to use "their" bed. I do have a couple of cat beds, which they will use frequently for a while, then ignore, then start using again. They do like to keep us guessing!

I have a basket on a bottom bookshelf with a blanket in it that one of my cats has adopted. (The one that's a bookend in the photo on my profile.)

Otherwise, the bathroom rug is a cat bed.
Our bed is a cat bed.
Office chairs are cat beds.
My chair at the dining room table is a cat bed. (especially when it's time to eat.)

Again on cat beds - mine has an very plain open basket with a bit of Vetbed in it, BUT the essential ingredient is an electrically heated pad in the cold months. With one of those he'd sleep in anything. When it's not on, he sleeps on the furniture or the nearest static human.

Cat beds: We just moved and it's been interesting to see where the cats gravitate toward. One took over the back of the couch in the basement den, one keeps burrowing under the covers on my bed, and one likes a chair by the window in the living room. But if I'm in bed, they generally all gather there...

Well the new cat bed and tree arrived. So far no one has shown any interest in the bed but the tree is a success. Lexa has been all over it and Xander wandered into the kitchen while I was playing with her and settled in the lower section. The way it is constructed means that there are three resting places so it is like a multi-story cat bed :)

As I only got the bed to take the total up far enough to get a 20% discount on the order I don't mind too much if it is ignored.

Yeah I have bum luck with my furballs and catbeds, lol. They love the big cat posts, though. We have a small one in the bedroom, and two medium and one giant one here in the living room, and they get a lot of use. The giant one especially, they love laying on the top two spots of. They're not very fond of going in the inside parts, though.
