Hi, I recently got a CueCat to use with TinyCat. It reads and decodes ISBN's just fine, however when I try to enter an inventory barcode made on a DYMO label printer in the barcode field it won't decode. There is just a line of gibberish in the barcode field. I can search the barcode in check out/check in, but still it is a line of gibberish. How do I get it to decode in the barcode field and in the search field? Thanks for your help!

I successfully de-clawed my CueCat and it works like a dream now. Thank you!

I know this is an older posting, but I am having the same problem with CueCat it reads the ISBN barcodes but not the printed barcodes I just bought from LibraryThing. I see two problems - it isn't very sensitive to read the librarything barcodes on multiple passes, or it either reads them but produces a string of gibberish and does not translate it to the actual barcode number, it will not even read the barcode! So, will just "declawing" CueCat take care of both issues? Just checking because I'm used to much more sensitive barcode readers that will scan on the first pass.
