Who's your'e favorite author and why? Mine is Darren Shan because of (*trys to keep it spoil free*) the endings to Cirque Du Freak and the Demonata series.

You can use the tags <spoiler> and </spoiler> to hide spoilers. Like this: Oops, was that a spoiler?

>1 Dra_Gone: You can also link to an author's page here on LT (called a touchstone) by using two brackets and a title of a book by using one bracket. There are instructions over to the right of every 'add a message' box, but, in case you didn't see it.

My favorite author is Margaret Maron. Actually, that's not true. She's one of my favorite authors, but I also love Melissa Brayden and Radclyffe among so many others for so many reasons. With Maron it's because she writes such interesting mysteries that are also so family oriented. For Brayden and Radclyffe they write a ton, and when I read their romances (sometimes with some mystery, or other sub-genres in them) it just takes me away and I find it so enjoyable.

Yes, what >4 anglemark: said. :)) (I forgot for a second what actually using brackets in the message does to the brackets. Oops...)

Also, you should pay attention to the (others) link in the touchstones to make sure you have the correct work. Alternatives for the simple [title] touchstone -- which doesn't always find the title you really want -- include:

[work_id::title] example [220546::Cirque Du Freak] = Cirque Du Freak
[author, title] example [shan, Cirque Du Freak] = shan, Cirque Du Freak
[title, author] example [Cirque Du Freak, shan] = Cirque De Freak, shan

I have so many! I love Stephen King when it comes to horror. Norman Partridge is also a favorite, but I'm not exactly sure what happened to him. Dark Harvest is one of my favorite Halloween books. I also love Anna-Marie McLemore and Leigh Bardugo.

Oh thanks! I didn't know that!
