... I've been autoblocked because my IP was supposedly used by some spammer.

Also, we're going to have to reconstruct everything from July onward because that's when the spam took over so TPTB only saved from June on back.

Could other folks see if they can post to the new Wiki? I'm curious to see if others are autoblocked as well.

>1 CurrerBell: I think a lot of people must have been having problems with the Wiki cause I note that it is down again so they are probably still working on it. I will scout around and see if I can find anything out about it.

Let's give them a few days to get it together before we worry about it.

Yeah, I understand that the links still need to be updated and they are still working through some bugs. Hopefully, the Wiki will be fully restored soon.

https://wiki.librarything.com/index.php/Reading_Through_Time_Quarterly_Theme_Rea...

It seems to be working now. I've restored all my materials from July to the present.

Lorannen restored everything from June on back, but as I understand it July to the present was spam-filled. Fine if we wait a few days and see what if anything further develops. (I wanted to get my own material restored because I wanted to get back to Lorannen and tell her everything was OK with me, that I was no longer autoblocked.)

Note that our wiki layout (previous topics, current topic, future topics, table of contents – and ditto for the quarterly time periods) is also out of date because of the rollback to June. Once folks are comfortable with restoring their data from July onward, and once everyone's had a chance to restore it, I'll be happy to go through and update the layout. It should take me a couple of hours, but if I sit down and get to work it's not that bad.

Thank you for getting the links. I will transfer them to our main page.

Thank you so much for offering to update the layout. I've added my information from July onwards.

I think I got everything fixed up as to layout, including links to the monthly threads. Note that the Table of Contents links don't work as well as they ought to, but I don't think these are editable – I think they're something TPTB set up automatically on the new wiki, but I'm not sure.

Check me out and make sure I didn't mess things up, OK?

One other thing. I've saved a back-up copy of both of our wikis. Lorannen did really nice work on the larger wikis like TIOLI but I don't think she was aware of our little group. In case of future problems, it would be a good idea for us to have back-up and it would be better if we not just rely on one person like myself. Maybe one or two others of us could do back-up as well. (ETA: And by this, I mean monthly backup, not just a backup today and then not worry about it in the future.)

>10 CurrerBell: Is there a way to do a backup other than just copying the source code? I confess I haven't looked very hard at the new wiki yet.

>11 majkia: I'm not aware of any other method. But copying the "source code" is really easy. Just click the topmost "edit" link and you'll open the "source code" for the entire page, and then all you have to do is Select All, Copy, and then Paste it into any text editor to save as a TXT file. (Don't save to Word or any other word processing program, though, because that may introduce formatting hypertext that will mess up the html when you try to re-post the saved file to the wiki.)

>12 CurrerBell: Okay, yeah, I can help with that. I saved source code for the KITs and CATs in the 1018CC group so I can do that here too.

>12 CurrerBell: & >13 majkia: Thank you both. The Wiki looks great, and with you both keeping a backup copy we should be fine in the future. I know how to post on the Wiki, but am pretty clueless when it comes to setting one up or backing one up!

I've been behind in getting my last 3 months or so of RTT wiki updates done. While I was in it today, I noticed that none of my entries for June 2017 on showed up. So I went ahead and fixed mine. Just thought I'd mention it in case others find their entries missing and need to fix them.

>15 countrylife: same for me, country. I fixed as many as I could remember! However, the quarterly theme asks for a name and password and mine for LT does not work.

>17 Tess_W: I am having the same problems with the Quarterly theme wikis, as I am clueless about these wikis, I'll pm Majkia, who is our guru for the wiki's.

>17 Tess_W: >18 DeltaQueen50: If it is asking for a user name and password, these are still links to the old wiki (user wiki, pass oldwiki) and are read only at this time. You'll want to get the proper updated link from >5 CurrerBell:.

Yeah, it was linking to the old wiki.

Thanks to Majkia all the links are now corrected and the wiki's should work fine. If there are still problems, please post about them here and we'll see about fixing them.
