well assuming this guy is legit, the easy answer is money. Why does apple do everything it can to discourage users from switching carriers for the iphone, why does Music industry attack file sharers with such ferocity, even the elderly grandmothers. It's about the money.

Perhaps the programs mentioned are not reliable. Perhaps they don't want competitors to get ahold of their stuff and copy it. there are a thousand reasons, but the big one is they want to keep things under wraps so that they make the most money they can.

If you developed a new tire that would last 200k miles and never would go flat, you would sure as shinola not share the info and specs with anyone till you were sitting on a pile of money, if ever. Right?

Maybe they didn't get consistent results testing in the lab on the hidden features? Maybe the hidden features are the "on deck" features for the first upgrade.

For example. We have discovered one of these hidden features. You can turn off right justify (at the font menu, type ALT J and the right justify on/off feature appears on the menu). We thought this was pretty neat. Then, one day, we noticed (actually, my husband noticed) that the justify feature option had disappeared from the menu. So, this is a neat feature, but apparently is not completely stable yet. Maybe that's why this feature is not documented.

I really don't think it has anything to do with keeping anything secret since you can download the kindle source code right from the Amazon web site.

Interesting questions though. I'm really curious as to why there seems to be such a backlog on shipping.

I wonder how they could have misestimated demand to such a degree. I am more of an impulse buyer, and not knowing how long I might have to wait is offputting.
