Any Kindles under the Christmas tree?

Just curious if anyone might have received a Kindle this week from a loving family member or friend.

One will arrive for me in early January. :) - Or so I hear!

It's an unprecedentedly large gift for me. Decidedly, I'm looking forward to it...

I received $100 to help pay for the Kindle I have ordered from Amazon. I ordered it on Dec. 9 and I still have not heard when I might get it. I am pacing the floors.

This is so exciting for you both! And frustrating I know, I was in the same boat with mine. Ordered on November 23rd with expected ship date of December 11, then it actually came on the 4th (which was perfect, as it was my birthay... maybe there is a god after all). I am hoping that both of you receive yours earlier than expected.

Oh, and unprecedented in big gift also! Much better than last year's heating pad (he forgot it was my birthday, remembered while at the drug store... long story).

It is exciting: and on my own wait, I don't mind. Lack of communication is another, more irritating, matter...

I got my Kindle in Nov, but did get an Amazon gift certificate for christmas. I'm so glad that these can be used to buy Kindle books now!

#7 - do you know if the gift certificates are good for paying for the actual Kindle, also? Mine is on order with a credit card and I sure would like to have the gift certificate take some dollars off before it goes on the credit card.

Yes you can use the gift certificate to purchase the actual Kindle. I don't know it it's possible once you've already purchased it though. Maybe contact Amazon. Maybe if it hasn't shipped yet.
