Thanks to a week-long increased discount, I did buy two cookbooks at the bookstore:
* Complete Vegetarian Cookbook from America's Test Kitchen
* Everyday Vegetarian from Cooking Light

And another ARC, historical fiction which comes out this month in the US: Golden Hill by Francis Spufford. Looks pretty awesome.

I accidentally bought a second copy of The Recognitions.

I've bought 2nd copies before, only one time was the 2nd copy on purpose. I even bought a 3rd copy of a title once -- two of the copies had sales stickers on them, so I guess I kept seeing it, thinking it was a great deal, and thinking I hadn't bought that one before....
Bought one book, a prequel to a series I've read: The Girl with the Make-Believe Husband by Julia Quinn. Historical romance.

Four ARCs and one actual purchase to report. The book I couldn't resist is The Lost Soldier by Diney Costeloe. Liked the font, the cover, and the fact that there's a bit of a mystery surrounding a memorial for a WWI unidentified soldier at the root (no pun intended) of the story. Never heard of this author before.
The ARCs:
* _Last Gentleman Standing_ by Jane Ashford (pub date 9/17, historical romance, republication of a 1980 book then titled Bluestocking)
* _Christmas in a Cowboy's Arms_, a collection by Leigh Greenwood, Rosanne Bittner, Linda Broday, Margaret Brownley, Anna Schmidt, & Amy Sandes (pub date 10/17, historical romance short stories, looks like the Leigh Greenwood is a reprint)
* The Silent Corner by Dean Koontz (already out; a technological thriller)
* The Last Castle: The Epic Story of Love, Loss, and American Royalty in the Nation's Largest Home by Denise Kiernan (pub date 9/17, Gilded Age and later American history)
