Are you interested in art, artists, comical situations, unusual circumstances, or stand-up comedy that verges on political incorrectness? If you said yes to any of the above, I recommend my new release Chop Shtick by Sandra Yuen MacKay. First off, it's Hilariously Funny! The Big Six, a group of conflicting artists, are commissioned to build an Upcycled sculpture in downtown Vancouver. Cathy, a Chinese schizophrenic who is one of the group, tells the tale including a stolen sink, a Molotov cocktail, a missing cat, murder and a pair of mysterious keys. Cathy is finicky and funny with her own brand of shtick.

Chop Shtick is a humorous work of fiction about the relationships that bond people but also Cathy's journey to recovery and self-actualization.

My bio: Sandra Yuen MacKay is the author of My Schizophrenic Life: The Road to Recovery from Mental Illness. She has a Fine Arts Diploma from Langara College and a degree in art history from the University of British Columbia. She received the Courage to Come Back Award and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for overcoming severe obstacles to become an artist, writer and speaker on mental health issues.
