Independently published my first novel last year. It is a science and technology thriller with some gory interrogation scenes. The story is set in 1930s Germany. It's falling between historical thriller and sci-fi/horror. Any suggestions on an agent who might cross the genres?

thanks
Richard

If you've already put it out as a self published book, no agent will consider it, because you've already burned the first publication rights. Might as well write your second book.

Unless you can demonstrate scads of sales so far, then they might consider it? That's how stuff like 50 Shades gets off the ground.

>3 Cecrow: Actually, 50 Shades was a fan fiction with a large following that became a total and complete rewrite in order to not use another author's copyrighted storylines and characters.

Having a following for the first book might help the sale of the second, but the first one has lost its initial sales pitch. Now it would be reprint rights, and they aren't near as lucrative as initial pub rights.
