I've stayed away from EP's Jules Verne reproductions since my experience with the 20,000 Leagues DLE, the worst DLE in my collection. I returned the first copy, but the second was just as bad - almost unreadable in places because of faded text and broken letters. I later learned that this particular translation, the first English, was full of errors and omitted more than one-fourth of Verne's text, so I read the Folio Society edition instead. Maybe the later titles are better.

>2 jroger1: very pricey for a single volume. I have EP's 5 oversized collector editions of Verne's other key works with copyright to MBI in the 1950's. Meaning they were probably Limited Editions Club or Heritage Club. I would not mind having this to add to my Verne collection. I just wish they would print this as a Famous Edition or Reader's Choice and charge a more reasonable $75 like they have for "From the Earth to the Moon", which is still available on their website. $320 just makes me gasp and why a clamshell cover?

Clamshells and slipcases go in my attic. They're just a waste of money and space to me.
