Hi,
I just got interested in historical fiction and was wondering if there were any books out there about yoshitsune Minamoto.

Oh, I hope you get some good recs because I'd love to read books about him myself. He's a character in The Heike Story, but the book ends right after he escapes from the monastery, and so he doesn't really get to shine. But I did enjoy the parts of the book that he was in. Everything else I have is non-fiction or plays, so I can't really help more with your request.

This is from wikipedia:

In addition to The Tale of the Heike and Chronicle of Yoshitsune (Gikeiki), which relates events of Yoshitsune's life after the defeat of the Heike, a great many other works of literature and drama feature him, and together form the sekai ("world") of Yoshitsune, a concept akin to the Western notion of the literary cycle.

These include:

* Yoshitsune Shin Takadachi (jōruri)
* Yoshitsune Senbon Zakura (jōruri and kabuki)
* Kanjinchō (kabuki)

You can try to find translations to the kabuki mentioned although that might be a bit difficult.

Apart from classical literature, does anyone know of any modern historical fiction?
