Who's taken the new quiz? What's your patronus?

I got a Falcon - which is awesome.

Where is the quiz available?

I thought the quiz was really cool! I got a Marsh Harrier patronus :) and I saw that a friend got a Unicorn :D

I got a Dun Stallion patronus. I also realized I had to redo my wand. English oak with unicorn hair core, 11 and a quarter inches, surprising swishy flexibility.:)

I got a robin. I had tried to join Pottermore when they first started up, but openings were limited, so this was a good opportunity to go ahead and do it. I might have messed up the first of the quiz, because I wasn't sure what you were supposed to do and didn't answer the first question. Might should have ended up with a zebra instead. :)

>5 jugglingpaynes: Patronus twins! I also got a dun stallion. Which, whatever. In real life, I know that my patronus is a raccoon, so Pottermore can think what it wants. ;-)

foggi: Yeah, I'm pretty sure mine is either a cat, a chipmunk, or a squirrel. Most likely a squirrel. :oD But I'm glad I have a patronus twin! Watching my daughters do the test, I realized they change the words from test to test (and, I guess, based on how you answer) Catbastet got a white swan and her sister got a stoat.

I got a Chow Dog, which disappointed me. :/

I feel like this is not an ideal application of Pottermore's otherwise excellent technology. It's a lot easier to sort people into houses and end up satisfying most of them, than it is to figure out the animal for which they have an affinity. I suppose it's fine for those who don't have strong opinions on the animal, or at least the type of animal, they favor -- but for those of us who do, it's bound to be an exercise in frustration.

Chow Dog, which probably is the closest thing they have to a Scottie Dog^..^

>10 foggidawn: Interesting. Not having been in the least disappointed by my patronus, I'm having a hard time understanding those who are upset. I love otters, but I never once thought an otter would be my patronus. Some people I think are confusing affinity with favorite so I've just been ignoring the anger. But is a patronus' corporeal form really about satisfaction? It's supposed to be one of the most difficult spells to cast. Shouldn't everyone just be psyched to have one?

>12 biblioholic29: Good points, bib. I am a dog lover, but have had some bad experiences with chows, hence being disappointed. However, the description for my patronus made me happy, so at least that fit.

>12 biblioholic29: Yeah, I can definitely see confusing affinity with favorite, but I have specific reasons for mine, and not really any affinity with horses. And in the world of Harry Potter, I'm sure I would be pleased just to be able to cast one.

Pottermore's site administration got a little screwy.  I can't log in and need to create a new account with the e-mail address I used to create my initial account?  What happened?  All this fuss to figure out my patronus.

>15 justjukka: I had to do the same thing. I just figure that means I get to be resorted too!

I ended up just closing my account. ^^; Pottermore wasn't shaping up the way I'd hoped or imagined.  Not to say that anything worth my time has to shape up in such a way, but there weren't any pleasant surprises in store for me, anymore.
