Hi, I’m new to this group. I’m going to be honest: I’m joining mainly because I need to downsize my book collection and I wondered if any of you would like to purchase some of my “tattered but still lovely” books. Some of them I would be glad to just get the cost of postage (book and media rate). Others are worth more and I would like to clear a few dollars above postage on them.

Local used bookstores here won’t buy these from me due to “lack of interest.” My local thrift store has zero “tattered but still lovely” books on their shelves and I’m afraid that if I donate them, they will get tossed in the dumpster. I really would prefer to see these books get a home where they will be appreciated instead of having to trash them. I’ve taken good care of them and put new mylar covers over the dustjackets of many.

You can find the books I want to sell by going to my page and entering the search terms “for sale,” I have a short description of these books’ condition in the Tags. I can take pictures if anybody wants to see the actual book (I used pictures of covers from other members in many cases but did match the pictures to the cover of the actual book).

Here are the titles:
The House on the Cliff; Shoulder the Sky; The Young Mrs. Savage; The Tall Stranger; Five Windows; Celia’s House; Emily Dennistoun; Music in the Hills; The Dean’s Watch; The Castle on the Hill; Green Dolphin Street; No Holly for Miss Quinn; Fresh from the Country; Mrs. Mike; Hurry Home, Candy; Silver Lining; I Juan de Pareja; Brave Interval; Guardian Heart.

I would be glad to answer any questions on condition or story synopses.

Thank you for correcting the links. This is my first time posting and I did not understand Touchstones. I think I understand now.

Yes, they are. Do you have any questions?

UPDATE: I apologize for taking up space here for this. I thought some of you would be interested in rescuing the D. E. Stevenson books from the trash, and maybe some of the others, but I was wrong. I am no longer offering these. Again, sorry for wasting your space and time.
