When you consider that some of the poorest countries in the world have welcomed hundreds of thousands and in some cases millions of refugees, and are still accepting them, I am not convinced by the arguments put forward by the rich and developed nations that there is some arbitrary (and usually very low) limit to how many refugees they can accept.

As far as the US. Why not bring them to Puerto Rico or some other territory if you don't want them on certified USA soil. A lot of fear mongering as usual. A bit shameful since the reason they're fleeing is partially (perhaps mostly) due to the instability we helped create. It's also sad that the ones crying out against refugees are mainly the self proclaimed religious. But that's just the view from Louisiana.
