Current Reading--February 2016

I recently finished Plataea 479 BC from the Osprey Campaigns series and have started The Sharp End: The Fighting Man in World War II by John Ellis.

Finished the very good (if sadly a bit short) Dark Waters: An Insider's Account of the NR-1, the Cold War's Undercover Nuclear Sub by Lee Vyborny.

Working my way through The Spanish Monarchy and Irish Mercenaries: The Wild Geese in Spain, 1618-68.

So far I've read Battalion Commanders at War (B+), British Cruisers: Two World Wars and After (A+) and Steel Victory (B).

The rest of the month I expect will be dominated by genre fiction.

Finished Wing To Wing: Air Combat in China, 1943-45 by Carl Molesworth. Not a bad book, but just not very interesting to read.

Finished a very good Submarine Boats: The Beginnings of Underwater Warfare by Richard Compton-Hall.

The last relevant book of the month is The Battle of Ezra Church and the Struggle for Atlanta (A), which besides being a good battle study is also a comparative look at command relations in the Confederate and Union field forces.
