I realized after moving how many books I have (over 800.) So, I am trying to get through as many as I can this year.

January so far:
The Big Sleep
Farewell, My Lovely
The Independence of Miss Mary Bennet
A Beautiful Blue Death
The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes
Psmith, Journalist

Ene 23, 2016, 2:24pm

welcome to the group. Do you have a particular goal in mind?

Ene 23, 2016, 3:48pm

Welcome to the group, getrus! Happy ROOTing.

Ene 23, 2016, 5:00pm

My goal currently is 75, but I might change it depending on how much I can read in the next couple of months.

Ene 23, 2016, 6:11pm

Welcome to the group and happy rooting!

Ene 23, 2016, 6:12pm

Welcome aboard and good luck with your challenge!

Ene 30, 2016, 6:21pm

January is almost over and I have only been able to finish one more book.

Raise High the Roofbeam, Carpenters

Ene 31, 2016, 3:07am

>7 getrus: 7 out of 75 total is on track! That's very good.

Ene 31, 2016, 11:44am

You are doing great!

Feb 1, 2016, 6:23am

I spoke a little too soon. Had a lazy Sunday and was able to read all of Used and Rare. Definitely a great read--especially if you are considering collecting books.

Feb 1, 2016, 11:57am

Collecting books! What a great idea! ;-)))

Feb 2, 2016, 6:40pm

Welcome & Happy ROOTing!
& congrats on your success so far!

Feb 3, 2016, 5:42pm

Just finished The Loved One and I find I didn't like as well as his others which I have read, but the ending was very poetic. I highly recommend, but some might not get his humor.

Feb 15, 2016, 6:01am

It is halfway through the month and I have not been able to finish any more books. I have made considerable progress in Wolf Hall and just started Darkover Landfall. Hopefully I will be able to finish both of them soon.

Feb 15, 2016, 6:09am

There's still half a month ahead of you. I hope you like the books!

Feb 23, 2016, 10:53pm

Finished Darkover Landfall and am almost done with Bands of Mourning. I highly recommend Brandon Sanderson. This is the 10th book of his I have read and it is amazing.

Feb 24, 2016, 10:10am

>16 getrus: I've said it before on some other thread. I love Brandon's books.

Mar 13, 2016, 7:07am

After a month and a half, I finally finished Wolf Hall.

Mar 13, 2016, 7:17am

>18 getrus: hurrah! Very good. Did you enjoy it?

Editado: Mar 13, 2016, 8:12am

I did enjoy it. There were points where it was boring and slow, but on the whole it was very good.

Mar 25, 2016, 1:35pm

Finished Busman's Honeymoon this morning. I always love a good mystery and I am going to be sad when I finish this series. Puts me at 13 for the year, but only 2 this month.

Mar 28, 2016, 6:59am

Adding Sad Cypress, making it number 14.

Abr 3, 2016, 6:40pm

Adding my first one for April with Death in the English Countryside.

Editado: Abr 10, 2016, 6:55am

Second root for April finished. Spindle's End

Abr 10, 2016, 7:44am

>10 getrus: sounds delightful! I have put it on my wishlist!

May 1, 2016, 2:25pm

Where did April go? I got so busy I wasn't able to finish anymore books, but I currently have 3 in progress. Hopefully I will get to them soon and have a successful month in May.

May 1, 2016, 5:17pm

>26 getrus: Real life happens! Good luck in May.

May 3, 2016, 2:41am

>26 getrus: >27 Tess_W: Yes it does. I hope May will be better for you.

May 4, 2016, 10:48am

Ditto what Tess & Connie said! :)

May 5, 2016, 8:01pm

Well May is starting off good. I finished Ring For Jeeves.

May 9, 2016, 7:58pm

And adding another one with Flux.

May 15, 2016, 2:57am

May is definitely doing better for you, Jen!

Editado: Oct 1, 2016, 12:25pm

Wow....I completely forgot to update Librarything with my progress. It is a very good thing I keep a running list of all the books I read.

Picking up where I left off.

Jeeves and the Fuedal Spirit
One, Two Buckle my Shoe
Evil Under the Sun

Piper in the Woods
Murder at the Brightwell
Death in an English Cottage
Death Wears a Mask
An Artist of the Floating World
Five Little Pigs
Castle Rackrent
The Canterville Ghost
The Colour of Magic

Jeeves in the Offing
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Crowned and Dangerous

The Hollow
The Outstretched Shadow
The Shattered Tree
Rumpole of the Bailey
The Labors of Hercules

Total of 20 plus the 18 I had already read has me at 38. A little low for what I wanted and I am pretty sure I can't make the 75 I wanted this year. So my number is being revised to 52. I think I can manage another 14 by the end of the year.

Edit--Having some issues updating my ticker...I will try and see if it updates correctly in a couple days. Then maybe try again.

Oct 1, 2016, 3:33pm

I think other people were having issues with their tickers as well, so it could be a problem with the site.

Great reading list! It makes me think I should add another Agatha to the to-read pile :)

Oct 18, 2016, 10:10am

Yeah, you are back! Good to see you again.

Nov 3, 2016, 1:49pm

>33 getrus: phew, that's a lot of books! Congrats on all your progress! :)

Nov 8, 2016, 4:17pm

Updating with October and the first week of November.

The Light Fantastic
Trials of Rumpole
The Titan's Curse
Thrice the Brinded Cat Hath Mew'd

Death at the President's Lodging

I didn't feel well last weekend and took advantage by spending most of it in bed reading.

Total is officially at 45.

Nov 9, 2016, 3:50am

You're getting close!

Dic 26, 2016, 5:11am

Go get them!

Ene 1, 2017, 8:15am

Sadly only adding one more for December and ending 2 shy of my revised challenge.

A Walk in Wolf Wood

Ene 1, 2017, 9:11am

I'd say 50 books is still pretty darn impressive! Happy new year!
