I notice that our most commonly shared books are nothing to do with Stamps! I'm guessing this is because there is such a wide selection of Stamp Books for different countries.

When I searched on the tag "philately" it tells me that there are only 41 users who have used that tag. I would speculate that there are several reasons why so few of our libraries intersect in philately:
(1) Perhaps it is not the case that everyone who uses LT has cataloged their entire library (yet). Mine is entirely cataloged because we're packing up and moving at some point, and I'm using LT to keep track of where I put all my books.
(2) I would guess that the most common type of book that we share is a philatelic catalog. Even from a U.S.-Centric perspective (everyone uses Scott's) we probably have different editions.
(3) There are only 15 of us so far in the group.
(4) The relative frequency of philatelic books in our respective collections may not be statistically as powerful as we would assume because we're interested in the group. I think that 5% of my library is philatelic in nature ... and that will decrease when I've added all of my wife's books.

I'm looking up how many have The Error World. I just finished it this spring and it caused the collecting bug to itch. Errors were never my thing, but it made me consider them. The author wove his collecting and his life together to make not just an interesting biography, but the history of stamp collecting in the 20th century, particularly in Britain.

eta - 61 copies on LT.
