need a couple slipcases

Does anyone know a company theat custom makes slipcases? I have a few books that need some extra protection. Thanks.

Yep, and then you can print and glue whatever you want to the back and sides of them.

I would make a point of wanting archival (acid-free) materials used.

I had the good fortune to get a tour of the inner workings of the Indiana Historical Association and saw their workshop. They did it all, restoration and making their own cases but they did say they farmed out some work. I am sure that your local historical society would be able to recommend someone.

>6 TLCrawford: haha I live in an agricultural community, I am afraid my local historical society, or book binder for that matter, is about 500km away. Of course, if I wanted my slipcases made of grape leaves, I do live in the right spot!

I really recommend these folks for most protective covers (other than for very rare books, and that's a separate issue). I use their bags for my collectible and vintage paperbacks, and it's nice to not have to worry about degradation caused by fumes from cheap plastic.

The local librarian might know someone.
